BF2Demo Localization files tuotorial.

Hello There. Ever heared about localization files? Nope?
Well, then take a look at my quick tuotorial..
What's Localization file(s)? - A file wich u can edit and change killmessages.

EDIT: You can change like everything! Kit-names, killmsg, the vehicle names..

CODES: In fullversion of BattleField2: Orange text : §C1001
Big text: §3

In BF2Demo: Orange text: |cccc|
Big text: §3

but when i kill someone the name is yellow as well.... but i want that the name is white... so what can i do?

Good, i will

Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 Demo\mods\bf2\Localization\

Note: (x86) is for Windows 7 and possibly Vista, if your on XP then dont use (x86)
Make a back up of the English.UTXT file you find in this folder.

Open the English UTXT file with Notepad and edit away and test ingame.

The bit your looking for Spiel is ...

HUD_CHAT_YOUGOTAKILLSCORE You killed §0#PLAYERNAME#§1

Change to Pwnd or whatever., eg ... |cccc|You PWND|cccc| §0#PLAYERNAME#§1
(not sure what the colour code is for white - experiment )


Be careful you dont delete the little symbols highlighted in red.

Yeah, ppl must make backup of the original "english" some time ago i *****d the localizations and had to re-install bf2
