Tips for everyone :P

Here is everything usefull about the BF2 Demo i've collected so far =)
Scroll to the bottom to get the German-BF2-Demo or a cooler version =)

-----------> TRICK 1 <-----------

The Battlerecorder on some online servers or in Singleplayer mode
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------


STEP 1)

1) Open BF2 Demo and start a game.

2) When you are ingame, press "^"

3) The white console will appear.

STEP 2) --> Start the battlerecorder <--

1) Type: "demo.recordDemo [demoname]"

--> Between the [ ] you simply type the filename you want to save it.

--> Watch out! The "D" of "recordDemo" MUST be a capital letter!!!!!

2) Press enter!

3) Press "^" to exit the console.

4) Play as long as you want!

STEP 3) --> Stop the battlerecorder <--

1) Press "^" to open the console again.

2) Type: "demo.stopRecording"

--> Again the "R" of "stopRecording" must be a capital letter!!!!!

3) Press enter!

4) Press "^" to exit the console.

STEP 4) --> Move the file to the right folder <--

1) Go to: "...\EA Games\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\Demos"

--> There are 2 files with the name of your demo (the name you chose between the [ ])

--> They have 2 different endings: 1. ".bf2demo" and 2. ".bf2cam"

2) Move these 2 files to: "C:\Users\Documents\Battlefield 2 Demo\Profiles\Default\demos"

--> If the folder "demos" doesn't exist, simply create a folder with that name.

STEP 5) --> Watch your record <--

1) Open your BF2-Demo and Log-In to your account.

2) Klick at "Community".

--> On the right-top-corner there are listed your battlerecorder-files. Select one and click at "Play File".

STEP 6) --> Controls during watching the record <--


- hold "Q" to select the speed and other things.

- hold "T" to switch between player cam and free cam.

- press space to switch between the players.

STEP 7) --> EXTRA! Remove the names in recorded files <--

- Go to: "...\EA Games\Battlefield 2 Demo\mods\bf2\gamelogicinit.con".

- Add "renderer.drawnametags 0" as the last line in this file.

- Open BF2 Demo and watch the recorded file without names.


--> IMPORTANT: You must delete this line again before you can play multiplayer again!

1) Open: ...\EA Games\Battlefield 2 Demo\mods\bf2\python\game\gamemodes\gpm_cq.py

STEP 2)

1) Press Strg + F

2) Search for "host.registerHandler('TimeLimitReached', onTimeLimitReached, 1)"

STEP 3)

1) Place a "#" in front of the found line!

--> "#host.registerHandler('TimeLimitReached', onTimeLimitReached, 1)"

STEP 4)

1) Play BF2 Demo Singleplayer without the boring timelimit!

Unlock all weapons in BF2 Demo Sinpleplayer

STEP 1)

1) Open: ...\EA Games\Battlefield 2 Demo\python\bf2\stats\unlocks.py

STEP 2)

1) Press Strg + F

2) Search for "defaultUnlocks"

STEP 3)

1) Change all the "0" to a "1"

--> "defaultUnlocks = [1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 1]"

STEP 4)

1) Play BF2 Demo Singleplayer with ALL weapons!

Deactivate the unskippable intro in BF2 Demo

STEP 1)

1) Open: ...\EA Games\Battlefield 2 Demo\mods\bf2\Movies

STEP 2)

1) Delete all files in this folder instead of "menu.bik" and "menu_loggedin.bik"

STEP 3)

1) Open your BF2 Demo and forget the intro!

-----------> TRICK 4 <-----------

Change the ticket ratio in BF2 Demo Singleplayer

STEP 1)

1) Open: ...\EA Games\Battlefield 2 Demo\mods\bf2\python\game\gamemodes\gpm_cq.py

STEP 2)

1) Press Strg + F

2) Search for "return int(mapDefaultTickets * (bf2.serverSettings.getTicketRatio() / 100.0))"

STEP 3)

1) Change the "100.0" to any number.

--> Type: 100.0 for 200 tickets.
--> Type: 200.0 for 100 tickets.
--> Type: 50.0 for 400 tickets.
--> Type: 25.0 for 800 tickets.
...

STEP 4)

1) Play BF2 Demo Singleplayer with many more tickets and pwn the bots more often!

-----------> TRICK 5 <-----------

Remove the fog in BF2 Demo

--> If you want to play multiplayer again you have to reinstall the game, so watch out <--


STEP 1)

1) Open ...\EA Games\Battlefield 2 Demo\mods\bf2\Levels\Gulf_of_Oman\server.zip" .

STEP 2)

1) Unpack "init.con" to the desktop .

2) Open it with editor (notepad) .

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEP 3)

1) Press Strg + F

2) Search for "GameLogic.MaximumLevelViewDistance 400" .

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEP 4)

1) Change the "400" to 2000" .

--> "GameLogic.MaximumLevelViewDistance 2000"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

STEP 5)

1) Return to: ...\EA Games\Battlefield 2 Demo\mods\bf2\Levels\Gulf_of_Oman\server.zip" .

STEP 6)

1) Unpack the "sky.con" .

2) Open it with editor (notepad) .

STEP 7)

1) Press Strg + F .

2) Search for "Renderer.fogStartEndAndBase 0.00/450.00/0.25/0.50" .

STEP

1) Change the "450.00" to "2000.00" .

2) Delete the original files "sky.con" and "init.con" from "server.zip" .

3) Move the edited "sky.con" and "init.con" from your desktop into "server.zip" .

STEP 9)

1) Play BF2 Demo and see everything!

1) Open: ...\EA Games\Battlefield 2 Demo\mods\bf2\AI

2) Move the downloaded file into the opened folder

3) REPLACE!

STEP 3)

1) Now you have 31 bots instead of 15!!
