Server Modding

Hi peeps,

Just thought i would let you know im available if you needs some modding done on your server (BF2 Demo).

Ive finished doing Sweepers and i know Lynn? asked me to modify the Everlander server but hasnt been back in touch.

Im not really into clan stuff (been there, done all that), but i do enjoy modding

If your wondering who i am just google me (Cobra_SFX or CobraSFX or Cobra {sfx}, ive been around for quite a while in the modding/game world, i have a website on the MOH series (www.mods-r-us.net) but i retired from Moh modding.

Ok done that, i have sent you an email as i will need the 64 player GPO file to start work on it, my standalone server only comes with the 16 and 32 GPO files so better use a full 64 one to work with.

And what do you want to modify?
Maybe the camera missile at the Everlander in the Mi... You can not move with it if you are shooting higher than you are...

That depends on what you want, i can move flags around, or remove flags, add extra spawn points to any flag including air spawns, add more vehicles or less, make them spawn quicker etc etc.

On the above subject im making Lynn one now, she will reveal it to you when i have finished and then it can be tested on a 64 server

And can you add Vodnik or Humwee from small map to bigger ?

No thats not yet possible (for me) nor have i seen it done by anyone, as far as i know the 16 player map isnt editable as its hardcoded (but still doing research on that), you cant add things to a map that didnt have them (only the 16 had the Vodnik and Humvee) but if i find a way ill let you know.

can we have map what is in the air and where people just take cover and shoot each other? like stationary warfare, it would be cool

umm... like noth teams have one spawn point and there is no possibility capture the oppenent flag. These flags would have a bit distance so killing aint easy. something like that? you know what i mean now?

Ah yeh thats possible, ive just made the test server have 3 flags in the middle so theres going to be some good close quarters fighting, give it a try ( 83.222.235.39 ).

Its still untested really as its never had a lot of players, im removing the carrier and airfield spawns and making the hotel and beach non-capturable so there will only be 1 flag to fight for

Today I played on Everlander... And i saw, that TV guided missile from Mil helicopter is bugged if it is shot higher than helicopter... Can you repair it ? At AH-1Z helicopter it is good... Maybe using the code from it will repair it, but i really do not know, how to make these things...
The same problem was on the Pinoy, until T-Shirt Bobbie (if I am right) repaired it... later the Mil was replaced with AH-1Z

Hey thanks all for coming in and testing the mod too, i can see it needs a few changes, any comments/ideas do talk freely

can you delete vehicles and move the flags near construction site? it would be really tight fight if everyone would spawn in there

Ive took the Close Quarters mod off for now Max, replaced it with the last one i made, server wasnt filling up really so maybe they dont seek close quarters combat like they used to.

Back to the missile problem - is that what is happening - you cant steer it to its target?

Im still trying to find out exactly whats wrong with the TV missile, looking at the files they both use the same missile, more on that when i get more info.

Youll notice the server name has changed to =(c)= COBRANS TeamDeathMatch, this name describes it perfect as ive removed the cappable flags and have repositioned the uncappable bases near the centre, so theres 2 flags that you cant capture - just spawn and kill people now

The full 32 map is still accessable for now but i might narrow it down to keep people within the combat zone which is the town.

US have:
Cobra Heli, M1 Tank, Jeep

MEC have:
Havok Heli, T90 Tank, Jeep

I might add a repair area for the 2 helis somewhere to save them having to fly back to their original bases for repairs ... stay tuned
